Make your own pizza dough for your next pizza night.

This pizza dough recipe is extremely easy and it only has 6 ingredients. This recipe makes 4 small/medium round or square pizzas but you can easily double or triple this recipe for your next pizza night. I love pizza in any shape or form and I often found that people are hesitant to make pizza because they think that it has to be round. If you do not have access to a pizza stone or a tray big enough to fit your round pizza then just make it square or in my case rectangular! This pizza dough gets super crispy regardless of its shape. Just remember to grease or spray your sheet pan with nonstick spray.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 packet or 2 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • pinch of salt

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 180° Celsius. Add lukewarm water and yeast to a bowl. Stir to combine and let the water mixture sit for a few minutes to activate the yeast.

2. Add sugar and oil to the yeast mixture. Sugar will feed the yeast and make it even more active. You can use any neutral oil if you do not have olive oil.

3. Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until all of the ingredient are combined.

4. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes or until smooth. If the dough is to sticky add flour.

5. Let the dough proof for a minimum of 20 minutes. You can put the dough back into the same mixing bowl that you used before. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and leave it in a warm place to proof. The dough should double in size.

6. Once the dough has proofed you will have to knead it again for a minute or two. Divide the dough into 4 even pieces.

7. In order to get a nice thin crust use a rolling pin to roll out the dough. Add your toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes.
